Summer Camp is the Peer Project – Youth Assisting Youth’ biggest event of the entire year for Matches – Mentees & Mentors. It is a special opportunity to bond, share experiences and learn from one another.

Bus Pick-up/Return Location: YAY Head Office – 5734 Yonge St., @ Finch, Toronto, ON, M2M 4E7

From Saturday August 12th – Monday August 14th, matches will join on a private lake for activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, archery and beach volleyball as well as many other sports and team building activities like scavenger hunts in the forests, camp fires and much, much more. All Matches will be sleeping in a Cabin and/or a Tent at the camp site. Food will also be provided beginning with the bus ride up as well as 3 fantastic full meals each day (plus snacks) provided by our wonderful cooks.
Our camp program is specifically designed to accommodate our mentor-youth matches here at YAY and contribute to the overall health and wellness of each participant as they build upon their teamwork and communication skills, while also increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem.
For the past several years, The Peer Project – Youth Assisting Youth has offered a FREE camping experience to its matches. This is possible through generous donations from the “Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund”, as well as other supporting organizations.
This year we have changed locations from our previous camp site from last year at Selah Camp in South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario and in previous years at Camp Northern Lights in Haliburton, Ontario and have booked a new experience at Ziontario Campgrounds, located in Priceville, Ontario.
