YAY Summer Camp for Matches CANCELLED for 2023
Regrettably, we must announce the cancellation of the YAY Summer Camp 2023 due to insufficient registrations.
In light of this situation, we are actively exploring alternative events to take place in August. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we remain committed to providing meaningful experiences for our participants.

Heroes Assemble! This year’s Youth Assisting Youth camp theme for Matches is SUPERHEROES. All of the world’s mightiest Superheroes on the planet must unite and work together with the ‘YAY Events Team’ and their Squad ‘YAY Staff & Counsellors’ to save the universe. Campers will gather at our Headquarters located at Ziontario Campground and are made to feel welcome, and comfortable in a safe environment to help all our superheroes pass the challenges and have the best weekend ever!
From Friday August 18th – Sunday August 20th, matches will gather and compete in friendly competition with each other. This year all campers will be assembled into 4 groups. Upon arrival, Mentors and Mentees will be aided through various challenges, relationship building adventures and games. They will participate in activities such as swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports activities and much more! Throughout the weekend all groups will participate in tasks that will test their strengths and skills while building confidence by trying new things and making friends. The superhero teams will have the opportunity to demonstrate the greatest amount of leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positivity and ultimately excel in certain activities and have a fun and engaging camp experience.
All Matches will be sleeping in a dormitory or have the option to sleep in a tent at the campsite. For three days we will be on an adventure with transportation, meals and snacks, activities and accommodations all included.
It is an amazing three days packed with adventure, learning and FUN!

For the past several years, Youth Assisting Youth has offered this FREE camping experience to its matches. This is possible through generous donations from the “Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund”, as well as other supporting organizations.
Please note this event is for MATCHES ONLY; As spaces are limited for up to 40 pairs. Please be aware that expressing interest does not guarantee a spot. Due to various restrictions those that have expressed their interest and have been selected to participate will be contacted by YAY Staff. Mentors will be contacted by their Case Coordinator and Parents of Mentees will be contacted by their Parent Support Worker.
