Nov 9: Toronto Symphony Orchestra: Best of the ‘20s

As part of the decades project features two English pieces for solo string instrument and orchestra: Vaughan William’s poignant and powerful masterpiece The Lark Ascending, spotlighting TSO Concertmaster Jonathan Crow; and William Walton’s rarely heard Viola Concerto – a work that is both exuberant and profoundly intimate – featuring Principal Viola Teng Li.  The concert, led by Peter Oundijan, also includes the monumental Symphony No. 7 by Finnish composer Sibelius.

Special Thanks to Volunteer Toronto for the limited tickets to enjoy the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall.
