YAY creates life-changing peer mentoring relationships that help young people grow, lead and succeed. We match driven volunteer youth mentors ages 16 to 29 with younger youth ages 6 to 15 in their local community across Toronto and York Region.
Our program model creates a bold dual impact that is powered by youth volunteerism, integrated supports and resources that lead to well-being, education and success.

YAY’s 1:1 Peer Mentoring Program provides driven youth volunteers with the in-depth training, support and resources they need to become effective peer mentors and make a real difference in the life of a young person in their community.
Our peer mentorship model, integrated supports and community-based approach create a bold dual impact, helping youth mentors build leadership abilities, relevant skills and meaningful connections that support their own growth, career goals and future success.
Mentoring doesn’t only change the life of your mentee. It will also change your life in amazing ways. Our youth-to-youth model will help you grow as a leader and a person, give you purpose and resilience, and a once in a lifetime experience that can shape the future.
