Welcome to your next Outdoor Experience! This year’s camp theme is ISLAND ADVENTURE. Aquatic Animals from all over the world have gathered at Ziontario Campgrounds! It is sure to be a splash as campers will unite and come together with nature, the environment and the great outdoors and engage in an educational, fun and enjoyable camp experience as they have the best weekend ever with their mentor.
This year campers will be placed into 4 aquatic groups – TURTLES, WHALES, STARFISH and STINGRAYS. These groups will compete against each other in friendly competitions throughout the weekend, their goal is to obtain the Treasure Chest.
Mentees and Mentors will be aided through various challenges and games upon their arrival and will participate in activities such as: swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports activities and much more! Throughout the weekend, expect to go head to head with players from opposing teams, Turtles against Stingrays, Whales against Starfish, and so forth. These activities will test each team’s ability to work alongside one another, demonstrate sportsmanship, positivity, and ultimately excel in certain activities to make it to the end of the Treasure Map. All teams will compete to get ahead and progress towards the Treasure Chest!
All Matches will be sleeping in a dormitory or have the option to sleep in a tent at the camp site. For three days and two nights we will be on an adventure with transportation, meals and snacks, activities and accommodations all included.
For the past several years, Youth Assisting Youth has offered this FREE camping experience to its matches. This is possible through generous donations from the “Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund”, as well as other supporting organizations.
