Join YAY in-person on Monday October 16 at the VSES Teaching Kitchen on the 3rd floor for a interactive cooking class with Chef Karen as you cook-along and hone your skills and build your cooking confidence while having fun in the kitchen.
Chef Karen will be doing a TikTok Cooking session for Teens & Tweens: Korean Corn Cheese & Folded Kimbap. These two recipes include tasks for most ages/skill levels using a can opener, mixing, cracking eggs, cooking on an induction cooktop, and assembling the folded kimbap (like the folded tortilla hack, except using seaweed sheets, with rice, egg & kimchi filling).
Participants will be asked to consent to photo and video release as this will be put on social media and pictures given to funders. This class is a teaser for the longer program that will be held in January 2024 and all participants will get a small cooking kit.
