At Youth Assisting Youth (YAY), we empower volunteer youth mentors to be inspiring leaders and role models. That’s why we’re thrilled to open applications for two $1,800 post-secondary Gil Orbach Joy Scholarships.
The Gil Orbach Joy Scholarship celebrates passionate volunteer youth mentors who dedicate themselves to cultivating supportive relationships that enrich lives, while helping them to achieve their educational goals. The program also commemorates and continues the passionate work of Gil Orbach, a dedicated YAY youth mentor for several years, who tragically passed away in 2017.
If you’re a current YAY youth mentor who is making a profound difference for your mentee, we want to hear your story! This scholarship recognizes outstanding mentors that demonstrate leadership, commitment to service, and academic excellence.
Applying is easy – just review the eligibility requirements (details on the application) and share how you’ve grown through mentoring. Winners will be selected by an independent committee and honored at our 2024 Annual General Meeting.
